The upcoming "Star Wars" movie is at the top of movie lovers lists of must watch films of 2015.

Movies like "Avengers: Age of Ultron" and "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2" are also movies that are expected to break box office records of tickets sold. These films are poised to beat the 2013 record of around $11 billion in U.S. ticket sales. Movies released this year have not made as much as their gross sales in the U. S is just $9.4 billion, according to boxofficemojo.com.

The new "Star Wars" film, which will be the first star wars movie produced by Walt Disney Co, is set for release on Dec. 18 and the remake of George Lucas' sci-fi universe will have "Star Trek" filmmaker J.J. Abrams directing it . Other highly awaited movies include erotic thriller "Fifty Shades of Grey," from Universal Pictures' and "Jurassic World," which is Universal's resurrection of the "Jurassic Park" dinosaur series. The "Minions," Universal's next installment in the animated "Despicable Me" franchise rounds off some of the most anticipated films of 2015.
